Martin Perez

Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, Martin L. Perez is part of a family originally from Mexico. From them, he learned the value of hard work. This led him to study Business Administration and Accounting at the University of Texas. While doing graduate work at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, he discovered that he wanted to be a lawyer.

His desire to study law comes from the fact that people in his community weren’t always treated fairly. Often they were taken advantage of and unaware of their rights. For this reason, he’s wanted to help those who were alone and didn’t know what to do.

His desire to help those who need it most

His desire to share and help with his knowledge led him to teach high school history classes at La Joya Independent School District for a time.

After working as a teacher, Martin was hired to join the Cameron County Department of Juvenile Justice as an attorney, where he applied his knowledge of criminal law and his experience in dealing with teens.

He was later invited to work at the Public Defender’s Office in Hidalgo County, where he represented impoverished individuals charged with misdemeanors. This experience led him to find his ultimate purpose.

12+ years of experience in personal injury cases

While working in defense, Martin’s interest in becoming a personal injury attorney arose. During this time, he met lawyer Mario Davila. Since then, he has worked on these types of cases for more than 12 years.

His knowledge and desire to protect those who need it most have led Martin to become an expert personal injury attorney, with special dedication to trailer accidents, which are among the most complex cases because of the multiple investigations they require.

In addition, thanks to this great experience, Attorney Martin L. Perez has managed to obtain one of the largest settlements in personal injury cases at a major commercial store.

Martin L. Perez’s passion for helping people resolve their legal circumstances so that they can move forward with their lives has been and continues to be his daily motivation. Martin L. Perez has been a member of the Texas Bar Association since 2004.
